Nubble Lighthouse York Maine Painting - Canvas Matte Stretched Wall Art
One of the first paintings I created of the iconic Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine — and a piece that holds a special place in my heart. Soft blue-purple clouds spread thinly across the sky, casting a muted, atmospheric light that feels like the quiet hum before a storm, without any drama. That cool sky sets the mood for everything below: the greens and yellows of the small island's grass take on a gentle, subdued beauty, and the exposed rocks at low tide reveal their carved, sculptural texture in full. The crisp white of the lighthouse buildings stands out boldly against the dreamy backdrop — a contrast I love. It was a true pleasure to paint.
