Cordula

This painting was inspired by a scene in Bar Harbor, Maine (as the boat is so aptly titled). It was an incredible sunset (as they always seem to be on the water), and as I stood on the dock I realized that I was surrounded by dozens of people. We all silently and reverentially watched the sun sink beneath the surface of the water, only occasionally pulling our eyes away from the beauty to smile at each other. A collective experience and connection that I hold just as, if not more, precious then the beauty of that sunset.
